ABOUT ME
My enlistment in the USAF helped me understand the importance of teamwork and leadership. Over the past 30 years God has blessed me impact the lives of patients, coworkers, friends and family as a CNA to FNP. With support of my family and community I plan to continue providing excellent care and changing lives!
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
My journey in the medical field began as a CNA in 1995, phlebotomist in 1996 , RN in 2000 and FNP in 2021. As an RN I “cut my teeth” on telemetry and transitioned to a family practice and then cardiology clinic for 7 years. In 2008 I returned to the acute care hospital where I eventually became the director of the telemetry unit and opened the cardiac step down unit. In 2011, I transitioned to the director of infection prevention/employee health and wound until 2019. Since 2021 I have been blessed to care for patients within my community as a FNP.
FAVORITE ACTIVITY OUTSIDE OF WORK
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family. With 8 grandchildren this entails traveling, boating, crafting, camping and relaxing.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU A GREAT PROVIDER?
Having God’s blessing is number one to being a great provider! However, having a team that is competent, confident and compassionate is the vital and of course the support for my peers.
