ABOUT ME

My journey into nursing began with the birth of my first son, whose undiagnosed heart disease changed the course of our lives. From his earliest days, I found myself at his bedside—advocating, learning, and witnessing firsthand the profound impact that skilled, compassionate care can have on a family. Those experiences shaped not only the mother I became, but the nurse I felt called to be.

I entered the nursing profession with a deep sense of purpose, striving to care for every patient as if they were my own family. Over the years, that calling has guided my growth from bedside nurse to earning my bachelor’s degree, then my master’s degree in nursing education, and ultimately completing my training as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Each step has strengthened my commitment to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care.

I am proud to be a nurse. I believe I am fulfilling the work I was meant to do—serving others with empathy, advocating fiercely, and honoring the trust patients place in me every day.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I began my nursing career in the hospital setting in 2010, where I quickly found my passion in high‑acuity, critical‑care environments. Over the course of my 15 years as a registered nurse, I gained extensive experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients with complex and life‑threatening conditions.

My work in critical care included serving in adult and pediatric intensive care units, as well as specialized open‑heart recovery units for both populations. These roles strengthened my clinical judgment, sharpened my assessment skills, and deepened my commitment to providing calm, compassionate care during some of the most vulnerable moments in a patient’s life.

This foundation in critical care continues to shape my practice today, informing the way I approach patient safety, communication, and evidence‑based decision‑making as I transition into my role as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

FAVORITE ACTIVITY OUTSIDE OF WORK

Outside of work, I value time spent with my family and closest friends and enjoy unwinding with a good book. I love being outdoors—whether I’m paddling, exploring nature, or simply soaking up the fresh air. I’m also a big fan of Disney trips, which continue to bring joy, fun, and a sense of adventure into my life.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU A GREAT PROVIDER?

What makes me a strong provider is not only my training, but my commitment to treating every patient with the same dedication I brought to caring for my own child. I believe in meeting people where they are, advocating for their needs, and building trusting relationships that honor their stories. Nursing is more than my profession—it is the purpose I feel called to fulfill.
