“Treat others as you would want to be treated.”
At the age of 15, I began my healthcare career working for Kelly Healthcare in Omaha, NE. I took the city bus to my assignments as a homemaker chore aide, assisting patients in Assisted Living Apartments with cleaning and grocery shopping. When I became eligible, I earned my CNA certification.
After marrying and raising my daughter, I decided to continue my education. In 1995, I returned to school, where I obtained my LPN, followed by my ADN, and later, my BSN. I set a personal goal to become a Nurse Practitioner by the age of 50. In August 2014, I completed my Master’s program and passed my board exams, achieving my goal just before turning 50 in November of that same year. I treat every patient like a family member, fostering a collaborative approach to care. Together, we work as a team to help them lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
I graduated from Walden University in 2014 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing and received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri.
AANP certified
I have worked as a charge nurse in Long Term Care as well as a Director of Nursing. I have worked ICU, Critical Care, ER, Med Surg and Tele.
I enjoy exploring the area where I live and collecting rocks and gnomes. I love traveling back to the Midwest to spend time with my daughter and two granddaughters. Other than that, I consider myself a pretty laid-back person.
I believe what makes me a great provider is the passion and respect I have for all of my patients, along with my constant desire to expand my skills and knowledge.
