ABOUT ME
I was born in the Philippines, grew up on Maui, and now live in Arizona with my husband, daughter, and two cats. I have been practicing as a PA in addiction medicine for ~3 years – providing MAT services in office based opioid treatment (OBOT), opioid treatment program (OTP), and intensive outpatient program (IOP) settings. I also have ~1 year of volunteer primary care experience as a PA at Phoenix Allies for Community Health (PACH). Prior to becoming a PA, I worked for several years as a CNA, patient care technician, and ER medical scribe.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Addiction Medicine, Intensive Outpatient Program, Family Medicine
FAVORITE ACTIVITY OUTSIDE OF WORK
Karaoke, hiking, camping, musical theater, trying new restaurants/cuisines, DIY house-building, reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time with my little family.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU A GREAT PROVIDER?
I am not afraid to be wrong or have preexisting thoughts/beliefs challenged – if it means the patient\\\'s health will benefit. With the ever-changing landscape of medicine and ongoing emergence of novel treatments, I strive to grow and adapt by being committed to keeping up-to-date with the research/literature. Human nature is dynamic. The practice of medicine is a science that is gently, but fiercely, cradled by human compassion – and this is one of the ways I endeavor to continue to individualize treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes.
