About Me

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, bringing in 9 years of experience as a nurse and a total of 16 years working in healthcare. My journey started as a medic in the United States Air Force, and throughout my nursing career, I’ve gained expertise in various areas, including acute care and mental health. These experiences have given me a profound admiration for the strength of the human spirit and mind, making me passionate about the work I do.

Masters of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University,
Bachelors of Science from Western Carolina University.

Professional Certifications

Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.

Professional Experience

I have nursing experience in pediatric acute care, pediatric oncology, adolescent inpatient psychiatry and family integrative psychiatry.

Favorite activity outside of work

I have a great love of the outdoors and enjoy mountain biking, hiking and climbing. Also, I enjoy leisurely walks with my 14-year-old dog Daisy.
