“Memento vivere (Remember to live)”
I began my medical journey as an EMT where I found my calling as a healthcare worker. Since then I have continued to learn and expand my knowledge and scope of practice. I built my skills and experience working in many roles as a CNA, LPN, Paramedic, RN, and now as an FNP. I have always treated my patients as unique individuals with specific treatment needs, using current evidence-based guidelines. I believe in creating a positive experience for patients by developing strong rapport and cracking the occasional dad-joke.
Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner - University of Phoenix Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Weber State University
Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
I have extensive experience working with patients in many different settings. Over the past 20+ years my focus has been on emergency medicine working as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Critical Care Flight RN/Paramedic, and RN in the Emergency Department. I have also worked in gastroenterology, and with an outpatient cardiologist/naturopath specializing in complementary and alternative medicine.
I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cuisine, culture, history, and the occasional "tourist trap" attraction. When possible I like to enjoy the outdoors: camping, shooting, riding ATVs and cooking my famous Dutch oven meals. Most of all, I love to spend time with my family. Some of our favorite activities are watching movies, going to concerts, and appreciating each others sense of humor and fun.
My ability to provide high quality care while relating to patients one-on-one, and creating a comfortable , reassuring environment.
