“Health is not valued until sickness comes. Value your health and your body will value you.”

About Me

I am originally from Iowa and just recently moved down here this past fall after graduating from school. I live with with my wife who is also in the healthcare field and manages an assisted living/nursing home. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner I worked in the Intensive Care Unit and got to see medicine encompass all body systems at a critical level. This has allowed me to see medicine different and allows me to have a respect for the highs and lows of our bodies.

Education and Training

Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Allen College - Waterloo, IA (2018)
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) - FNP Track - Allen College - Waterloo, IA (2022)

Professional Certifications

Board Certified Family Nursing Practitioner (FNP-C) through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)

Professional Experience

I am new to the advanced practice role but not new to healthcare. Prior to becoming an Nurse Practitioner, I had been working as registered nurse (RN) in Critical Care in various ICUs across the Midwest. I have taken care of all types of patients from trauma patients, open heart surgery patients, brain surgery patients, as well as general medical patients one would see in an Intensive Care Unit. I worked frontline in the ICU during the COVID-19 pandemic and saw the devastating effects it had on patients and families. I am ready to transition to the family practice role and help in a new role as your provider.

Favorite activity outside of work

I am a huge golf fanatic and would love to talk about your golf game as we wrap up the last few minutes of a visit. My wife and I enjoy hiking, being outdoors, golfing, and traveling. Most importantly we are huge "foodies" and love to try new foods and restaurants in the valley. We also have a huge passion for traveling. I have been to over 20 countries by the age of 26 and hope to make it another 20 countries by the age of 40. We have two cats at home and hope to get a golden retriever soon. howing me pictures of your pets will always be a bonus to any visit!

What will make you a great provider?

I feel I will be a good provider because I have an easy going demeanor and always try to provide as much time to talk and hear your concerns as I can. I am someone that is always eager to listen to your concerns and not rush out of a visit due to lack of interest or time. I am not one to push one treatment onto patients but rather offer different treatment options that we collectively agree on together. I am always staying up to date on the best evidence based practice so you know that you are getting the most science-based treatment option at that time. I look forward to meeting you at a future visit and helping you better your health.
