About Me

Before becoming a PA, I served in the military from 2001 to 2009, lived in South America, spent time serving, and was able to learn Spanish during this time. I then worked in construction before starting school and volunteering at the VA Hospital. Over several years, I worked my way up from Health Technician to PA School. My life experience has been the most helpful over my years in the clinical field. I enjoy spending as much time as possible with patients to understand how I can best apply an individualized approach to their care. I am well trained, and I apply evidenced-based medicine to gather essential information, perform condition-specific physical exams, and then order indicated lab tests and diagnostic studies recommended for preventative care. Additionally, I am comfortable interpreting said tests, identifying diagnoses, and managing acute or chronic conditions. I understand when to collaborate with appropriate specialists to manage complex conditions best. I work with my Optima colleagues in a team approach to ensure efficient ordering and completion of necessary tests. I will give you valuable education and support to achieve your goals. This approach aims to work together to get you the care you require.
